Consent Resolution:
- Undertake a one month suspension from Saturday March 1, 2014 to Monday March 31, 2014 (inclusive).
- Pay a fine of $12,500 for violation of section 4(c) of the Denturists Regulation and sections 71(1)(b)(i), 74(1) of the College’s bylaws.
- Pay a fine of $500 for violation of section 79 of the College’s bylaws.
- Complete a minimum of fifteen continuing education hours, on the subject of record keeping, prior to July 31, 2014. These fifteen hours are in addition to the continuing education hours required under section 45 of the College of Denturists of British Columbia’s bylaws.
- Submit, prior to July 31, 2014, a 1,000 word essay, demonstrating her understanding of the College’s bylaws, specifically Part VII: Standards of Practice and Part X: Code of Ethics.
- A reprimand placed on her registration file, for a period of three years, for the violation section 4(c) of the Denturists Regulation and sections 71(1)(b)(i), 74(1) and 79 of the College’s bylaws.
- Not to repeat the conduct by ensuring compliance with section 4(c) of the Denturists Regulation and sections 71(1)(b)(i), 74(1) and 79 of the College’s bylaws.
Reason: The Registrant did not comply with section 4(c) of the Denturists Regulation and sections 71(1)(b)(i), 74(1) and 79 of the College’s bylaws. Failure to comply with the Denturists Regulation and College’s bylaws constitutes professional misconduct.
