The Voice of the Oral Health Patient in BC (Voice of Patient) research program asks patients and the public about their experiences with oral health care and about their perceptions of how oral health care is regulated.
In November 2022, we launched our first Voice of Patient baseline study of 2,000 patients and members of the public. Smaller surveys will be conducted on a regular basis. The Voice of Patient research program is used to measure regulatory performance, oral health perceptions and access to oral health care, and measures of the patient experience.
Additionally, this research helps us better understand the diverse experiences and barriers faced by the public, so we can ensure everyone has an opportunity to receive oral health care that is equitable and free of discrimination.
