Dental Hygienist Registration & Renewal

In order to practice dental hygiene in BC, applicants must be registered with the British Columbia College of Oral Health Professionals. 

Only registrants of the British Columbia College of Oral Health Professionals are registered to practice dental hygiene in BC and use the title “Registered Dental Hygienist.” 

Effective September 1, 2022, dental hygienists are no longer required to hold current CPR certification.

CPR courses are eligible for continuing competency credits.

Annual Renewal

Learn more about annual renewal for dental hygienists. Annual renewal is conducted through the BCCOHP website. Notice of the renewal time period is emailed to each registrant in accordance with the bylaws.
