As of June 30, 2025, BCCOHP’s unified Professional Standards for the Oral Health Team are now in force.
As shared in our June 16 announcement, these new standards outline the minimum expectations for ethical conduct, performance and professional behaviour for all oral health professionals in BC. They have replaced a number of legacy college practice resources. For reference, an inventory/list of the legacy documents that were removed is here >>
Certain existing Practice Standards specific to each oral health profession remain in place to clarify additional requirements for high-risk aspects of oral health care. Please visit the “practice resources” page of the BCCOHP website to confirm current expectations.
