Getting ready for the modernized Quality Assurance Program
As we prepare to launch the modernized Quality Assurance Program (QAP) in April, here’s what oral health professionals need to know:
Program details
An overview of BCCOHP’s modernized Quality Assurance Program (PDF) was shared with all oral health professionals in January and includes details of the various components and activities within the program.
Launch date and assignment
The modernized QAP will launch on April 13, 2026.
- For this first year, all oral health professionals will participate in the QAP between April 13, 2026 and March 31, 2027.
- Beginning the following year, the QAP will run annually from April 1 to March 31.
Updated FAQs

Reminder for those whose QA cycle ended December 31, 2025
Any outstanding requirements from the pre-existing programs must be completed and submitted by March 31, 2026, in order to renew with BCCOHP by the annual deadline. Refer here for more information about winding down the pre-existing programs.
Retiring pre-existing courses
As part of our transition to the modernized QAP, legacy courses offered by BCCOHP will be formally discontinued. Much of the content within these courses has become, or will soon become, outdated and will not be carried forward into the modernized program.
Access to enroll in or pay for these courses will close on March 31, 2026. Oral health professionals who have already enrolled in a course by March 31, 2026, will retain access until June 30, 2026.
To support the retirement of these courses, the following timelines will apply:
